About Watts Creatives First View: Halima Cassell From the Earth

This event has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience.

This major exhibition by Halima Cassell celebrates her work as one of Britain's leading contemporary sculptors. Bringing together objects from the artist's own collection - a number of which are rarely on public display - with new work created for the exhibition, this is the first solo exhibition by a contemporary artist to be shown at Watts Gallery.

On the evening of Tuesday 14 March during the opening week of the exhibition, we are thrilled to welcome 16 to 24 year olds for a first view and the opportunity to hear from and meet Halima Cassell herself.

Young visitors will be invited to explore the new exhibition, listen to intimate talks from Halima Cassell about her practice and inspiration, join in with a crafty activity, and pick up resources for in-Gallery sketching. Music, a raffle, and light refreshments are available as well.

Adults organising a group visit are welcome to join, as well as carers or adults for those under 18 years old who would like an adult with them. Otherwise, we ask that this is an event only for young people. Adults without a young person are not permitted to attend. There is no cost to attending, but we do ask that you book in advance through our website. As there is a maximum capacity to this event, if you book and then are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by contacting the Gallery to cancel your tickets.
