Green and brown watercolour study of a woodland and hills

George Frederic Watts, Watercolour Landscape Study of Woodland and Hills, c. 1889-1904, watercolour and gouache on paper

Watts Gallery Trust

Watercolour Landscape Study of Woodland and Hills is a beautiful landscape scene of Reigate. George Frederic Watts has reapplied white to the trees to make them stand out.

There is handwriting on the left bottom of the piece which says "No 6 | Watts Gallery Page 206 New Register" in blue biro. On the reverse of the watercolour, in the top right-hand corner, it reads "Reigate | by G. F. W" in black ink.
